Windows XP operating system displays a Welcome screen by default. It consists of an Icon and List of all the computer’s users. To be able to view your desktop, you should click on your username and enter your password so it can log onto your personal desktop. But did you know that you can also bypass the Welcome Screen? If you prefer to remove this, only the standard Windows log on dialog box will appear and prompt you to type in your username and password. It is a good tool for some cases wherein there are many users in one computer, it is one way of adding security to your computer because no username will be displayed in the screen. Nobody will be able to know who are the actual users in that particular computer.
